The Max Planck Institute for Social Law and Social Policy is one of nine Max Planck Institutes dedicated to advanced legal research, collectively forming the Max Planck Law network. The aim of Max Planck Law is to enhance collaboration among the participating Institutes and to strengthen cross-institute support for early career researchers.
With over 400 researchers and 20 Directors, Max Planck Law operates the world’s largest programme for doctoral and postdoctoral research in law. The network provides a range of research seminars and workshops, a career development program, opportunities for exchanges with top international law faculties, support for research initiatives by doctoral and post-doctoral researchers, a fellowship program attracting distinguished international scholars, and an annual research conference.
